The final event of the course Contemporanea Monferrato held by Nicholas Isherwood, American singer and performer, star of avant-garde music, will be held at Cargo 21, “Luigi Longo” Foundation, on July 12th.
“Improvising on Artworks” will be an improvised vocal performance immersed in the amazing location of the Contemporary Art Collection of the Luigi Longo Foundation. The performers will be surrounded by two hundred art works by some of the greatest artists of the twentieth century (including Renato Guttuso, Ernesto Treccani, Aligi Sassu …), in the new area of the Foundation, Cargo 21, located in via Baudolino Giraudi 421.
One of the most successful contemporary music singers, star of avant-garde music and guest lecturer at the first edition of Contemporanea Monferrato, Isherwood will give voice and body to the paintings of the collection, accompanied by Felicita Brusoni and the other students of the “Singing Techniques for the Music of Our Time” masterclass. The masterclass took place in Rosignano Monferrato from 4th to 12th July, 2020. The project was born from the collaboration of Cargo 21 with the AmbientArti association, which operates internationally across Europe and beyond.
